Drive to Sigiriya. En route visit Dambulla Golden Cave Temple. Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, explore ancient water gardens, and do a village tour with Hiriwadunna lake boat ride.
Explore Habarana and the mystical Ritigala Strict Natural Reserve ancient monastery ruins. Enjoy an evening elephant back ride or village safari.
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage ancient capital of Anuradhapura. Visit Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi sacred tree, Atamasthana stupas (Ruwanwelisaya, Thuparamaya, Abhayagiri), Isurumuniya, and Mihintale.

Afternoon wildlife safari game drive in Minneriya National Park / Kaudulla, famous for hosting the largest wild Asian elephant gathering in the world alongside deer, leopards, and birdlife.
Drive to Kandy. En route visit Matale Aluviharaya rock temple where the Tripitaka was first written down. Explore the Sacred Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and Buddhist museum.
Explore the 147 acres of Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens (orchid house, 4,000+ plant species). Enjoy a Kandy city walking tour around Bogambara Lake and a traditional cultural dance show.
Scenic mountain drive to Nuwara Eliya ("Little England"). En route view Ramboda Waterfalls, tour working tea factories and plantations, and visit Victoria Park and Lake Gregory.
