Itinerary
Our staff will be there to warmly welcome you at the Airport & pick up and stay in a Luxury Hotel close to Negombo beach. (Distance 5 Km from the Airport) Negombo is a city on the west coast of Sri Lanka, north of the capital, Colombo. Near the waterfront, the remains of the 17th-century Dutch Fort now house a prison. Negombo Lagoon, lined with fishermen’s huts, feeds into the Dutch-era Hamilton Canal. The canal leads south to Colombo. Negombo is one of the major commercial hubs in the country and the administrative center of Negombo. As known for its long sandy beaches and centuries old fishing industry. Negombo has a large bilingual population of dominated by Roman Catholics, the majority settled in coastal belt speaks Tamil language as well but most of them are Sinhala by ethnicity. Gampaha Botanical Garden, also known as Henarathgoda Botanical Garden is situated in the suburb of Gampaha. It was established in 1876 by the British to conduct experiments on exotic economic plants such as Rubber, and explore plant wealth and development of economy in the colony. The first imported rubber tree to Sri Lanka was first planted in this garden and it was the first seedlings of Brazilian rubber tree ever planted in Asia. The garden consists of a large variety of plants and many of them are from every corner of the tropical world it is expanding over 43 acres (0.17 km2) and situated next to the Attanagalu Oya and surrounded by paddy fields, a man-made green environment and a secondary forest as well laid out with many interesting sections, eye-catching landscaping and many shrubs, bushes and trees. Next day we will start around 8:00 from your hotel and we proceed to the Adams peak, on route we visit a En route Gampaha Botanical Gardens. & rubber plantation.

Around 08:00 in the evening we start climbing the Adams Peak. The climb takes 2½ to 4 hours. The first signs of dawn comes around 5.15 and sunrise is usually between 5.30 and 5.40.Buddhist pilgrims climb the 2245m (7242ft) high mountain to honor the legendary footprint of Buddha. Approx. 300.000 pilgrims visit this place a year. Sri Pada means "holy footprint". To the Hindus the mountain is holy for another reason: they call it “Shivas Peak ". Christians from the old Indian Church think that the apostle Thomas have lived there during his mission in India, and the Muslims call it "Adam's Peak" and interpret the footprints as those of the first man. In the history of religions, Sri Pada is a holy mountain of classic importance. After we climb the Adams Peak we proceed to Kitulgala where we start the water rafting adventure. When we are finished with the rafting we proceed back to your hotel Evening 6.00 Pm leave to climb the Adams Peak back to next day after sunshine.

Though it takes around 5 hours to reach the peak by foot, devotees of many religions climb the mountain daily to invoke blessings. The mountain is also named as Samanala Kanda or Butterfly Mountain. Adam’s Peak is surrounded, largely by the forested hills, with no mountain of comparable size anywhere near the vicinity. The region of Peak Wilderness Sanctuary that encompass the Adam’s Peak together with Horton Plains National Park and Knuckles Range, all in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka is recognized as a World Heritage Site in the year 2011. Today it is maintained by several Japanese monks. Though not much could be made out of the stupa and the landscape in the night ascent, during daytime the Peace Pagoda stands out dramatically with the amazing backdrop of Adam’s Peak Over Night stay in kitulgala hotel .
